Answering Your Questions about eHealth in the Hudson Valley

As the Hudson Valley's convener of health care organizations, THINC serves as the information source for providers to learn more about eHealth. THINC sponsors the health information exchange in the Hudson Valley, working to enable transmission of a clinical summary, on a direct point-to-point basis, between primary care and specialty providers, hospitals, and health centers and, in the future, long-term care.

THINC, in cooperation with New York eHealth Collaborative (NYeC), serves as the Regional Extension Center (REC) agent in the Hudson Valley to promote adoption, implementation and meaningful use of electronic health records (EHRs). The HITECH Act of 2009 authorized the establishment of RECs for this purpose. In this capacity, THINC is ready to offer the tailored, personal services that will help you transform your practice and adopt the principles of meaningful use of health IT.
